Volunteering
Our volunteer coordinator is copied on this email. Please feel free to reach out to Sarah Ruiz with any volunteering concerns or questions. We sent volunteer needs/counts earlier this season but just to reiterate: We only use 2 timers per lane. With a head timer that comes to 7 per shift from each team. Also, please let us know if you’ll be able to staff 2 judges per shift.

Cooling activities in the pool
Additional processes for this meet: Due to the heat waves, we will be offering two cool-down periods in the pool. This will be a quick 3-minute break when anyone can get in the water to cool down. These are currently tentatively scheduled for after the medley relays and after the parent relays at the half.

Also, we are going to run parent relays (yep, just like you guys!) after the 25 backstrokes. You have three lanes available to your parents for 25y leg relays. We will do our best to get a timer on each lane to see who truly “won”. We added these fun, cooling breaks after they were well received and much needed last Saturday when we were out at Dickinson. Bringing some cool party atmosphere to the Bay Forest Pool!

Parking
For parking, the visiting clerk and head coach may park in the front lot in any space facing the pool. They will say “no parking” but clerk and coach may use one. Spaces facing the grassy island are for food trucks only. All other attendees need to find street parking.

Remind 101 for Ready Area
We update to the ready area using Remind 101. We have a volunteer who updates it throughout the meet. Your parents may hop on to the class called Timber Cove @ Brooks using code @hgg3f8f.

Declaration estimate for planning
There will be a food truck for lunch as well as Kona Ice for treats. We’ll have a full concessions stand that can accept cash or Venmo. It would help our vendors and concessions leads plan if you could provide an estimate of declared swimmers once you have it.

Contact for weather or urgent matters
Keep my phone number for anything urgent or threatening weather the morning of. I will also be our team representative through this meet.
